Funding of 95% for companies soon again available
Manufacturing companies with production facilities located within the Bratislava region will soon have the chance to apply for grants of 95% of the project costs.
In comparison a support intensity this high is only available to public sector organizations, like municipalities and cities. Companies located outside of the Bratislava region can only dream about a support of this height, as they can only get a financial aid maximum of 50% for identical activities.
The announcement of this call is awaited during October 2010. Project submitting will start at the beginning of 2011. Therefore it is the right time now to begin with project preparations.
What are the project topics?
Operational Programme Bratislava Region, currently in gestion of the Ministry of agriculture, environment and rural development of the Slovak Republic, will support small and medium sized enterprises with production facilities located within the Bratislava region. For these enterprises there are the following topics available:
- Purchase of new production machines and equipment
- Procurement of technologies for energy production from renewable energy sources (biomass, heat pumps, solar and wind energy)
- Protection of industrial rights, ISO implementation
- Procurement of hardware, software, LAN building, creating of electronical presentations, e-shops, implementation of ERP, CRM,...
- Independent research and development
How high is the grant?
For purchasing of new machines and equipment we are talking about as much as 200.000 €, for the implementation of IT equipment 75.000 €. For industrial rights protection or ISO implementation the enterprises can get a maximum support of 100.000 €. There are also other possibilities in the field of research and development or more demanding energy projects, where the support reaches as much as 720.000 €, however the support intensity is lower.
Simple mathematics
The activities of the Operational Programme for the Bratislava Region in favour of entrepreneurs have a really unique character in the conditions of the Slovak Republic. If we pick for example a production company, that wants to purchase machines in the value of 210.000 €, according to the program rules the grant amounts to 199.500 € (95%) and the company itself will only pay the rest of 10.500 € (5%). Thus the company acquires property in a value of 210.000 € for just 10.500 €. We assume that a grant this high would definitely please every entrepreneur.
